How it all started - The story behind Jennie Hallestam

From a young age, Jennie was drawn to creating — painting, sewing, and exploring different forms of craftsmanship. She is also a trained welder and an international welding specialist, with a passion for working with materials in all their forms.

Today, she has found a special connection to crochet — a craft that allows her to create freely, wherever she is. Her vision is simple: to design pieces that not only elevate your style, but also bring a sense of confidence, individuality, and quiet joy.

2. Why Hallestam Design? Hallestam Design was created from a desire to build something personal — something that reflects care, intention and creativity in every piece. The name represents more than just a brand; it’s also a quiet tribute to my father, woven into the foundation of everything I create. It’s a space where ideas come to life and every piece is made to feel unique. ❤️

3. Favorite color?  PINK! 🌸

4. What’s the best thing about creating crochet pieces? That you can create exactly what you want. It all starts with an idea — and then it becomes a process of bringing it to life. ✨

5. What defines a Hallestam piece?

A balance between structure and softness, where functionality meets a more expressive design. Every piece is created with intention — designed to be both worn and felt. 👜
