New Handmade Crochet Pieces Created in the Hallestam Studio

The past few weeks in the Hallestam Design studio have been shaped by softness.

Not only in mood and mindset, but in materials, textures, and handmade crochet pieces created slowly and with intention. As the season shifted, so did our focus — toward designing garments that feel warm, comforting, and quietly luxurious.

Lately, our design table has been filled with handmade cardigans, each one created with the same intention: to offer softness you can feel, both physically and emotionally.

What We’ve Been Creating

Several new designs have taken shape in the studio, many of them explored through different variations in color, yarn, and detail.

One of them is the Nuve Cardigan, which we’ve been working on in multiple versions. Alongside the classic original design, we’ve also created a new interpretation featuring a gentle front tie — a subtle twist that gives the piece an even more relaxed, personal expression.

At the same time, several entirely new cardigans have joined the collection:

• The DOUX Cardigan – airy yet warm, combining smooth and fluffy textures

• The LANŪGO Cardigan – plush and cozy, like wearing a soft teddy bear

• The AMĀRE Cardigan – feminine, elegant, and versatile in fine merino wool

Each piece of our hand-crocheted cardigans is created in our studio, allowing the process to guide the final result rather than rushing toward a fixed outcome.

Designed Slowly, Made With Intention

These garments reflect a period of focused, joyful creation in the studio. Instead of producing many of the same piece, we’ve explored variations — adjusting yarns, colors, lengths, and details — letting each cardigan become its own unique expression.

That is the beauty of handmade: no two pieces are ever identical, and every garment can be shaped with individual wishes in mind.
